ABOUT US

Safe people. Strong culture. Better performance.

Equilibrium Workplace Consulting Ltd brings workplace health, psychosocial risk, behaviour, investigations and performance improvement into one connected approach.

We believe that protecting people and supporting organisational performance should reinforce each other. Clear expectations, fair processes and thoughtful leadership can help people do good work without losing sight of their health, dignity or voice.

Professional judgement, not just paperwork

Our work starts with understanding the organisation and the people affected. We look beyond the immediate problem to consider the conditions around it, while remaining clear about the scope of our role and the evidence available.

How we approach our work

Independent thinking — we examine issues on their merits and identify conflicts that could affect our role.

Respectful engagement — we listen carefully and recognise that workplace concerns can have a significant human impact.

Practical advice — we aim to make recommendations clear enough to act on, not simply add another document to a file.

Careful information handling — privacy and the limits of confidentiality are considered from the outset.

A highly qualified, multidisciplinary team

Our team brings together diverse qualifications and professional perspectives. Qualifications across the team include a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a Master of Professional Studies specialising in Human Rights and International Relations, a Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management, and a Bachelor of Social Work, alongside qualifications in electrical engineering, telecommunications and adult education.

Experience grounded in people and complex situations

Our collective experience spans employee advocacy, child protection, family violence, offender management, bullying prevention workshops and conferences, and research. Our team includes qualified, registered social workers with extensive experience in investigations and trauma-related and complex assessments.

Our research experience includes a recent publication on workplace wellbeing through a University of Auckland research project. This combination of practice and research informs our focus on understanding workplace issues in context.

Available nationwide

We work with New Zealand organisations and are available to travel nationwide. The scope and delivery arrangements are agreed to suit the needs of each engagement.
